She is also on the Board of LIFE2, being especially active in supporting their annual Earth Day celebration. Barbee enjoys outdoor activities year round, traveling, gardening and the never- ending hands-on remodeling of her home.

Charles B Reppas (“Chuck”) has been in real estate development for over 20 years. He is a CPA by background and learned the real estate development business from his positions as the CFO of two development companies. The first of which was First Western Equities, a developer of large apartment projects in the Seattle area, and the other Henderson Homes, a large home builder in the Seattle area. Since leaving the former in 1998 Chuck initially transitioned the development of Lakeland, a 3,000 unit master planned community, for one year as a consultant. Then he proceeded to develop single-family plats in the Seattle area and Wenatchee area as well as partnering to acquire apartment projects and execute a condominium conversion. Chuck is a strong believer in establishing a mix of housing components in each community so that those working in the community can live in the community. In particular resort towns have difficulty maintaining permanent living accommodations for those that work in them. Many resort towns falter because of this issue, so it behooves the town officials to support housing for the primary work force. This will also help maintain or grow enrollment in the local schools. Chuck and his wife Lynn moved to Leavenworth in 2006 after raising three boys in Bothell. Chuck enjoys golfing, skiing and hiking in the beautiful mountains surrounding Leavenworth.

She is especially fond of sharing the great outdoors in this "neck of the woods" with family, friends and neighbors.

Sheri and her husband have been volunteering with Leavenworth Winter Special Olympics since they retired and moved to this area from Seattle. This has been such a rewarding experience that she was excited to be asked to volunteer on the Partnership Committee of Upper Valley MEND. There she has found both the comradery that she had missed from her work, and the excitement of working with such a dedicated and multi-talented team towards supporting those in need in our local Leavenworth Community. Sheri is in awe of the MEND accomplishments and honored to become a Board Member to work towards the goals and mission of MEND, "Meeting Each Need with Dignity".
Sheri is a Northwest native who graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Sociology. She worked for thirty years as a Project Manager for the King County Health Department where she helped to write, administer and award federal research grants in the field of emergency care & training for sudden cardiac events. She lived in the Seattle area until retirement in 2006, when she and her husband moved to Leavenworth. She is married to Joseph Rowe, and together they have one son and three step children. Sandy grew up in Marysville, Washington and lived and worked in Seattle prior to moving to Leavenworth in 1987. After she left her job with corporate America as a store manager in the jewelry industry, she purchased the Tumwater Restaurant and Lounge. She began donating to the Community Cupboard the first holiday season she was in town, and later to Habitat for Humanity and SHARE. Sandy feels that everyone should be able to live in the community they work in, and not be forced to live far away because of the high cost of housing. When asked to join the MEND Board of Directors, Sandy felt it was a great opportunity to help in the community at a time when so many people are struggling financially.
Sandy served for three years as president of the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce and several more years on the Board of Directors. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Art-In-The-Park. She was the 2010 Kanzler for the Royal Bavarians, the 2008 Royal Lady of The Autumn Leaves, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Leavenworth Rotary and the Leavenworth Royal Bavarians.
Her husband Charlie has a degree in Tree Fruit Sciences and works full time at the Pacific Northwest Forestry Sciences Lab in addition to helping at the restaurant. They love to razor clam, beach comb and enjoy the beauty of Washington State.
