Volunteer at the Cupboard

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Community Cupboard. For more than 25 years, people of all ages and backgrounds have given their time, talent and goodwill to help the Community Cupboard fulfill it's mission of alleviating hunger, providing emergency assistance, and offering the most affordable prices in town on clothing and other household items!

By volunteering at the Community Cupboard you will be playing a direct role in helping to address some of the most important needs in our community, and you'll have a good time doing it!

The Community Cupboard is often in need of dedicated volunteers to help with various activities. Currently, the Cupboard is looking for volunteers to fill the following positions:

  • Staff Support.  The Cupboard is currenlty looking for one or more individuals who can provide staff support and perform critical duties when things get busy.  These duties could include:
    • Putting together food boxes
    • Running the cash register
    • Sorting donations
    • Organizing the store.

Currently, the need to fill these roles is greatest on Tuesday afternoons and Saturdays.

  • Food Bank Inventory.  One or more volunteers are needed to perform duties such as:
    • Identifying needed food items
    • Organizing and stocking the food pantry
    • Moving food boxes from the shed to the pantry
